
Mike Berg
Mike grew up in Livingston, Montana, where he began showing horses at the age of 12. After graduating from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, he moved to California, where he worked for trainer Todd Crawford. Berg has had many mentors but especially credits Crawford, Don Murphy and Carol Rose for giving him a firm training foundation.
Reining is his first love, and he has over $246,400 in NRHA earnings. He has also been successful with cowhorses in the NRCHA, with earnings of more than $40,000.
Mike has won the AQHA World Championship Cow Horse award. His NRHA successes include three Top 10 NRHA Finalists, and Reserve Champion in the NRHA Limited Open Futurity. He has multiple AQHA Top 10 finishes and was one of the top 5 finishers in the 1999 World Championship Limited Open Snaffle Bit Futurity.

Riding Gangsters Hitman, Mike won the Intermediate Open Futurity at the Rocky Mt. Summer Slide in Denver, CO, finishing first in both the 1st Go and Finals of the Int. Open Futurity and 3rd in the finals of the Open Stallion Stakes Futurity.
